Republic Day Announcement: 2/13/06

Ummm... the next practice will be held at my house, next Saturday, right after Balavihar.

Or at least thats the plan for our after-Republic Day- get-together.

We'll see how it all works out.

Final Practice: Reloaded

Its obvious through our (amazing) efforts this past Saturday that we do indeed need another practice before the actual performance on Republic Day (2/12).

As a reminder, we will not be able to practice on Avantika's stage anytime before or during the performance. During the performances, we are all expected to sit and watch ALL of them, as we are not allowed to hang out upstairs or practice upstairs. This is why we need this practice.

I'm going to say that only Sunitha aunty's class needs to meet, just because I don't think any of Ashok uncle's class will be able to make it (due to parental problems and/or classes, etc.)

So, someone needs to call up Ravi and ask if we can use his basement again.

Republic Day Announcement: 2/1/06

This coming Saturday, we shall conduct our final (hopefully) practice at Arti Sridhar's house after Balavihar. Whether or not it will be directly after or a little while after is yet to be decided and it is highly reccommended that you stay after Balavihar to hear the details.

Because the West Bloomfield building will be unavailable this coming Saturday, both Balavihar's will be held in Novi. Ideally, everyone should attend Novi (but its quite unreasonable if you consider that neither Ashok uncle or Sunitha aunty would have classes) because you wouldn't have to go home or worse! - attend both Balavihars :)

Either way, this meeting is mandatory, as much as that may seem silly.

JAYANT KRISHNAN, we need the SCRIPT. And believe me, he'll finish it by next Saturday, right?

Meeting in Novi?

What say you to calling forward a meeting in Novi for everyone? the idea being we gather all the students from both classes to place the final touches on all the dances and work out the kinks, review, and revise the script.

Once upon a time, we all attended the Novi Balavihar... I think we can attend it once again. Of course, if you can't make it for some reason, there is no harm done.

I believe some of the students in Sunitha auntie's class are taking the SAT this Saturday, which might make it difficult to attend the West Bloomfield balavihar, thus making it easier to meet in Novi.

For all those you don't know, the Novi Balavihar begins at 3:00 PM.

But in all seriousness, some of these comments are getting out of control. I just deleted on that dealt with subject matter our elders would definitely find offensive.

Mind you, I'm not condoning anything less, but this needs to stop.

I hate to play Scrooge, but its in the best interest of the blog.

Republic Day Announcement 2K6: 1/19/06

As it stands, our (Sunitha auntie's class) choreography is finished.
To my knowledge, neither of Ashok uncle's two groups have finished nor have we finished the script.

To All Members Involved:
As of now, according to my sister, parents in Ashok uncle's are dead set against practicing outside of Balavihar time because of Sharada auntie's proclamation. I feel like some kind of rebel fighting against a futuristic tyrannical dictatorship. This is weird.

We'll just have to make do and perhaps all go to Balavihar in Novi just once to help the other groups out and explain the script, etc.

As of now, we do not have a place to practice! Arthi Chandrashekhar says we cannot have the practice in her house because she's not prepared and her parents might let her on such short notice.

P.S. Did you know that if you click on the time stamp instead of "# comments" it takes you to a whole new page with the comments laid out for you instead of scrolling down a tiny little box?

Republic Day Practice?

Should we have a practice on Friday, January 13?... some would consider it unlucky but oh well. Maybe we just won't get anything done or something.
